Closing the Teach For America Blogging Gap
Jan 02 2009

I’m a goal oriented kind of guy. That’s the kind of line I could imagine using on a first date. But it’s also the kind of sentiment I hope to carry into this new year. A lot happened in 2008, and I have no doubt a lot will happen in 2009.

Here are my resolutions and hopes for the next 365 days

Find a routine to cook whole, healthy meals for lunch and dinner

Stay active and use the gym or run at least 3x per week

Stop picking at my thumbs and find a better habit to keep my hands busy

Make new friends in Philadelphia (let’s say 3)

Communicate more often with Chelsea and CA friends

Travel somewhere new

Sustain a genuine hobby, such as Tennis

Save money for 50%  of later loan payments (~$14,000)

There’s more to list, but I’ll keep it short and simple. Here’s to another great year!

Those are all worthwhile goals. Breaking yourself of the habit with your thumbs will be the hardest resolution to keep. My finger tips are almost smooth from years of a similar nervous habit.

Good luck with all of your goals. I hope that 2009 proves to be a successful and rewarding year for you.
