Closing the Teach For America Blogging Gap

Choose Me

I logged into my account last night and saw that a complete stranger had donated $25 toward my new project proposal. They said, “I gave to this project because…History is alive for me, and I want it to be alive for kids.”

It gave me an idea…

I have posted about before and wanted to put out a public request (to some non-strangers) for a new project I have posted on the site. Take a look at the screen shots below and click on Total Costs (PDF) to get details about the project expenses. The link below will take you to the official proposal website.

If you have $5, $10 or more to pitch in, these books would really make a difference in my classroom. I’m hoping to start using them by March if it is fully funded by the end of February. Pass the link along to anyone you know who might be interested.

Any questions? Leave a comment or shoot me an email at:

First, click this link to visit the proposal website

Then, if you want to see the details of the proposal expenses click on the Total Cost (PDF) link

Thank you,

Jeff, This was a good idea because it popped up and reminded us to contribute. It happened on President Obama’s Inaugural Day and we couldn’t think of a better way to make a difference. I’ve always believed you start with our young and education is the key. Enjoy our contribution. With love, Mom and Dave
